Chào mọi người! Hello from the 2017 Team

Chào mọi người!

We are very excited for the upcoming year! This year TWO teams consisting of 13 student pharmacists from Temple University School of Pharmacy (TUSP) and students from Mercer University (Macon,GA), will be traveling to Vietnam. This year for the first time, there will be one summer clinic rotation and another in the winter. We are enthralled by the possibility to be a part of this mission, and the ability to bring much needed supplies and healthcare to the impoverished people of Vietnam.

Throughout the semester, we have been getting to know each other through weekly team meetings and social events. These exercises have helped us learn about our group dynamics and have allowed us to build on each others strength, so we can provide the best patient care once in Vietnam. We have also been learning about the Vietnamese culture and language to ensure that we can effectively communicate with our peers and patients while in Vietnam.

To meet the demand of supplies for the clinics, we are hosting two fundraising events:

Our first event is a bar fundraising event at the Irish Pub located at on 20th and Walnut on Thursday, February 23rd from 7-10PM.

Cover charge is only $5 and includes FREE appetizers and drink specials. We will be raffling off great prizes including an XBOX! Raffle tickets are $2 for 1 and $5 for 3 tickets. Please click here for more info –

Our second event is the Vietnamese Medical Charity Organization Charity Banquet at Saigon Maxim on Saturday, March 18th from 7-10pm.

This banquet will be a night to remember filled with Vietnamese culture, including musical performances by Minh Tuyết and Hoàng Thục Linh, along with an 8 course Vietnamese meal! Remember to buy a ticket ASAP because we are selling out fast! $55 for a single seat and $500 for a 10-seater table, or if you’re feeling really generous, you can sponsor our missions with a VIP table (10-seats) for $1000 and receive special amenities such as a bottle of cognac for your table.

All proceeds go directly towards buying medication, medical supplies, and school supplies for these missions.

We will be blogging and vlogging about our training, preparation, and eventually about our clinical experience in Vietnam. We can’t express enough how grateful we are for everyone’s support! We want to keep everyone updated every step of the way.
